The NTD network team develops network software for Nintendo's game systems. Our team is a small and agile group. We take pride in delivering robust, scalable, and performant software that has been deployed on hundreds of millions of devices. We are looking for a software development engineer that has a passion for networking technologies. The candidate should have strong C programming and communications skills.  

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

• Develop, maintain, architect, and design networking software, both proprietary and OSS.
• Develop new features and protocols, perform performance analysis, optimize systems, and diagnose failures.
• Take lead role of software components.
• Read and apply RFCs and CVEs.
• Review codes of others.
• Mentor less experienced members of the team.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering; MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred
• 6 or more years of professional software development in C programming. Must be proficient with C.
• Significant experience with professional multithreaded and multi-core software development.
• Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Requirements

• Development of networking software (L3 or above).
• Development experience with OS/kernel internals and/or systems-like software.
• Development experience with networking protocols or technologies such as NAT, DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, TCP/IP, UDP, SSL/TLS, HTTP/HTTPS, and socket APIs.

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time.

This position includes a base salary range of $147,847 - $221.770 annually, potential for a semi-annual discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
