Northrop Grumman is seeking an Industrial Security Manager for the Microelectronics Design and Application Business Area (MDA BA) based out of Annapolis Junction, MD. The Industrial Security Manager – Level 2 will serve as the Site Security Manager for the Linthicum campus and oversee all security activities and operations, including guiding briefed/non-briefed personnel across all functions.  Candidate will be interfacing with internal and external leadership personnel and must have the ability to successfully manage competing priorities. The selected candidate will manage the MDA Security Team onsite and regularly collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations. They will ensure security compliance with government and company regulations and strive for excellence in executing security milestones. This position requires maintaining program security metrics and successfully managing competing priorities. The selected candidate will have the responsibility of developing and administering security programs and procedures for classified and proprietary materials, documents, and equipment

In this job, you will:

  • Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company operations
  • Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
  • Prepare manuals outlining regulations, establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and grants personnel and visitors access to restricted documents and materials
  • Develop and implement security education program
  • Oversee internal security audits
  • Investigate security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken
  • Provide direction to security team members to assist with executing their statement of work
  • Assist with team members' professional development and growth
  • Lead a team of security professionals to consistently apply the leadership characteristics expected of all employees within the organization
  • Ensure employee engagement across the team
  • Collaborate across teams within the organization
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development/mentoring to professionals at all levels
  • Develop and implement security policy and standards across the programs
  • Ensure all program performance objectives, as well as key milestones and deliverables, are met
  • Manage program security compliance and operations
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

Current Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience: an additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelors Degree.

Minimum of two years of management, supervisor, or other demonstrated leadership experience.

Must have in-depth knowledge and familiarity with the CFR 32 part 117 (NISPOM); Intelligence Community Directives (ICD); DoD Manuals, and other related security requirements.

Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in managing Industrial Security programs and teams.

Ability to execute Security and Program Management concepts.

Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. Enabling effective communication with team members, fellow employees, and government officials.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers.

Ability to recognize opportunities and take independent action to resolve challenges.

Ability to collaborate effectively with security peers and program management,

team members and work on a team with minimal oversight.

Ability to effectively engage with team members on task completion.

 

Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
