AI Product Owner (5932)

MetroStar is looking for an AI Product Owner to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of a groundbreaking R&D initiative within our Innovation Lab. In this role, you’ll work at the center of a mission-driven product team exploring the frontier of intelligent systems. From sprint planning and stakeholder engagement to platform prioritization and real-world impact delivery—you’ll serve as the critical link between users, engineers, and researchers. This isn’t just product ownership—it’s a leadership opportunity within one of the most future-facing teams at MetroStar.

What you’ll do:

• Define and own the product roadmap, backlog, and sprint priorities for an R&D AI platform initiative focused on intelligent workflows and developer tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and AI researchers to deliver user-centered features that support agentic pipelines, LLM-powered tooling, and mission applications.
• Engage stakeholders and mission users to extract value propositions, shape user journeys, and translate insights into clear, actionable requirements.
• Track and report on product adoption, OKRs, KPIs, and pricing strategies, helping guide the platform’s long-term sustainability and impact.
• Drive iterative, agile delivery cycles, ensuring alignment with both mission outcomes and user needs.
• Act as a connector and communicator, translating complex technical concepts for executive leadership and integrating end-user feedback into product evolution.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• 5+ years of experience in product ownership, technical project management, or product strategy, ideally within AI, SaaS, or developer tooling environments.
• Strong familiarity with AI/LLM capabilities, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, and platform integration constraints.
• Understanding of developer workflows, DevOps, or ML engineering pipelines, and how to create tools that truly serve these audiences.
• Proven ability to communicate across disciplines and levels, from C-suite visionaries to engineers and frontline users.
• Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with a track record of delivering complex solutions on time and within scope.
• A mindset rooted in value delivery, continuous improvement, and execution agility.
• Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience developing pricing models, tiered offerings, or usage-based billing strategies for AI or developer-focused platforms.
