A Day in the Life

As a Supplier Quality Engineer II, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of products and materials sourced from suppliers. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement supplier quality standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality audits and assessments, providing detailed reports and follow-up actions.
• Drive the investigation and resolution of complex supplier quality issues.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality metrics and performance indicators.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in supplier quality management practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure supplier quality requirements are integrated into new product development processes.
• Identify and implement supplier process improvements to enhance quality and reduce costs.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree AND minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR
• Advanced degree

Nice to Have: Preferred Requirements

• Experience in Printed Circuit Board manufacturing and cable manufacturing (EE preferred) for the Capital/Hardware SQE position.
• Experience with catheter manufacturing, polymer (extrusion, injection molding), metal precision processing, and adhesives for the Catheter/Disposable SQE position.
• Medical device manufacturing industry experience, preferably ISO 13485.
• Lead auditor experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, Trackwise, Agile change management.
• Ability to manage tasks and projects under tight deadlines with a sense of urgency.
• Proven experience in conducting supplier audits and managing supplier quality issues.
• Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of quality systems, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$77,600.00 - $116,400.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
