Role Overview
Marvin is seeking a Director of Marketplace Operations to work closely with our executive team and department leads, building a two-sided marketplace designed to reduce friction, enhance access, and deliver measurable outcomes.
As the Director of Marketplace Operations, you’ll own the core operational engine of our platform. You’ll be responsible for scaling and optimizing the supply (therapists) and demand (healthcare workers) sides of the marketplace, ensuring a seamless experience for both. This is a high-impact role requiring analytical acumen, cross-functional leadership, and operational excellence.
A successful leader will be someone that thrives in fast-paced environments, is deeply analytical, and has a passion for building digital health platforms that improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Marketplace Management: Oversee marketplace availability, balancing therapist availability with patient demand across geographies, specialties, demographics, and modalities.
Operations Strategy: Develop and execute operational strategies to drive marketplace efficiency, retention, and growth.
Supply & Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain dynamic forecasting models to align therapist supply with patient demand across states, demographic preferences, modalities and scheduling needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, data, marketing, engineering, and clinical teams to improve conversion rates, fulfillment times, and quality of care.
Data & Insights: Set KPIs for marketplace management for both members and providers. Monitor key marketplace metrics and provide regular insights to the leadership team to guide strategy and decision-making.
Therapist Operations: Manage therapist lifecycle operations, from supporting onboarding and credentialing, to driving retention and availability optimization.
Process Design & Automation: Build scalable processes and identify automation opportunities to streamline marketplace operations.
Organizational Scalability and Transformation: Drive the development of scalable infrastructure, ensuring tools, and policies evolve to support a larger, more complex marketplace.
