Association Manager

We are actively searching for an Association Manager to add to our team. If you have experience supporting Associations or non-profits, thrive while working independently, learn new programs quickly, are ridiculously organized, and would list strategizing and implementing programs for client growth as one of your best skills, we want to hear from you! 

Our headquarters is located in Madison and many of our employees work remotely across the country. We are excited to offer a flexible work environment for our employees, including the option to work from home and/or in-office.

About You  

The ideal Association Manager can support multiple clients, has a strong general administrative background, is passionate about brainstorming and implementing strategies to grow their Association clients, and enjoys working without much direction.  

Job Duties 

Association Manager job duties will be different every day! Our services are customized to each client, so you need to be flexible and eager to meet those needs. Duties include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Proactively managing all aspects of association operations related to membership, communications, board transitions, and programming 
  • Developing and executing growth campaigns for clients in the areas of membership and/or revenue 
  • Oversee the membership renewal process and delegate priorities/tasks 
  • Prepping, running, and/or supporting board or committee meetings, including taking and distributing minutes 
  • Establishing Board goals and prioritizing your Impact team’s work in relation to those goals 
  • Working with President and/or Committee Chair to determine the marketing and communications strategy 
  • Working with Board and/or Committee Chair to plan and manage webinar strategy and content 
  • Supporting client events in conjunction with the Impact Events Team, including managing the sponsorship strategy and onsite attendance 
  • Oversee regular maintenance of Association Management System (AMS) 

 

This job also requires some travel. You will be expected to attend annual conferences, annual Board retreats, and/or Annual Board meetings in person. 

Pay range for this position: $22 - $28 per hour ($47,840 - $58,240 annually)

Required Experience: 

  • Minimum of 3 years supporting an Association/non-profit client in the manner described above
  • Minimum of 5 years of administrative or project management experience 
  • Expert with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) 
  • Understanding of board governance 
  • Strong ability to self-motivate and proven ability to multi-task and work independently 
  • Outstanding ability to learn new software programs and pick up on new tasks and programs quickly 
  • Associate’s degree 
  • Fun, yet professional attitude!  

 

This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule. However, employees must be consistently available during Impact’s core work hours: 9:00am - 3:00pm Central Time. Note:  This position will be working with a client located on the West Coast and may require this position to work West Coast hours for some meetings and responsibilities.
