Patient Account Associate Credit Balance Acct Review Lead

Job Description:

Supports the credit balance team in resolving complex issues on patient accounts.



Essential Functions

  • As a Lead Credit Balance Representative, you will be the Subject Matter Expert for the following:
  • Researches, validates and approves adjustments and refunds
  • Provides training and coaching to credit balance team while maintaining confidentiality
  • Confidential presentation of individual credit balance team’s Quality Assurance (QA) audits
  • Timely coordination and resolution of compliance, third-party and audit refund projects
  • Assist Credit Balance Leadership in creating and updating department workflows
  • Coordination with other departments and Credit Balance Clerical team to ensure checks are printed and processed in a timely manner
  • Partner with finance departments to research and complete reconciliation

Physical Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Two (2)+ years of experience in hospital or physician back-end insurance related activities (Billing & Follow-Up) required
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required
  • Epic systems experience preferred

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$21.20 - $32.26
