Aftermarket Intern (Summer 2025)
Position Summary:
Milacron is looking for an Aftermarket Intern to join our team in Batavia, OH for the summer semester.
Work You’ll Do:
Assist in developing and documenting standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles to enhance production efficiency.
Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering team to analyze production data and identify opportunities for process optimization.
Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of manufacturing tools, fixtures, or equipment modifications.
Work under the guidance of senior engineers to troubleshoot equipment issues and support maintenance activities.
Contribute to cross-functional team projects, including sustainability initiatives or quality improvement programs.
Document project progress and present findings to the engineering team at the conclusion of the co-op term.
Qualifications:
Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, at the sophomore level or above.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks), and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab). Familiarity with injection molding or extrusion processes is a plus.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; self-motivated with a positive attitude toward change and problem-solving.
Other Requirements: Ability to learn quickly, exhibit professionalism, and demonstrate accountability for assigned tasks. Must be comfortable with ambiguity and handling multiple priorities.
