As an AI Tutor, Physics Specialist, you will contribute to the advancement of AI by reviewing expert-annotated physics data using proprietary software. Your deep understanding of physics will enhance AI model accuracy, ensuring precise and reliable content. This role requires analytical thinking, adaptability, and a passion for integrating physics expertise with AI technology.
This is a contract remote position with variable time commitments. The services to be provided by the Contractor under this agreement are supplementary and not integral to the Handshake’s primary business operations. The Contractor’s services are distinct and separate from the core business activities of Handshake.
Utilize proprietary software to evaluate AI-generated physics content and provide expert feedback.
Ensure high-quality physics data curation to improve AI model training.
Collaborate with technical teams to refine annotation tools and methodologies for physics-related tasks.
Assess AI-generated and human responses in various areas of physics, from classical mechanics to quantum theory.
Interpret, analyze, and review physics tasks based on evolving guidelines.
PhD in Physics or a closely related field (either in progress or completed within the last 10 years).
Strong research and analytical skills, with expertise in fundamental and applied physics.
Proficiency in both informal and professional scientific writing.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Ability to make independent evaluations based on limited data.
Passion for AI, innovation, and technology.
Research experience with published work in a reputable physics journal.
Experience in AI-assisted education or tutoring.
Teaching experience (professor, lecturer, or tutor in physics).
Experience in technical writing, science communication, or professional scientific writing.
Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to quickly adapt to new skills and evolving requirements.
Personal device must support Windows 10 or macOS Big Sur 11.0 or later.
Reliable access to a smartphone.

$40/hr - $70/hr
For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S.-based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies.
