Commercial, military and composite manufacturing companies use LAST-A-FOAM® rigid and flexible foam sheet stock for its proven mechanical properties and extraordinary versatility. We work with our customers through the design process, feasibility, fabrication, and delivery of custom parts. POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Account Manager I is responsible to manage all sales activities to maintain and grow assigned account list. Secondary support for other accounts assigned to fellow team members, as well as new, incoming accounts. Requires great attention to detail and project management skills to manage orders from inception through order processing, and fulfilment through production.  


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITITES:

  • Develop and expand customer base by building good customer relationships. Strengthen customer bonding through regular contact, great service to maintain and grow our business.
  • Field general sales calls and emails
  • Collaborate with other disciplines such as estimating, production, scheduling and marketing to bring solutions to customers.
  • Meet sales goals for assigned accounts and in support of account management team.
  • Secure and renew orders and collaborate with order entry and shipping to arrange delivery.
  • Develop relationships with internal functions and learn how to collaborate to solve customer issues/problems.
  • Gain knowledge of general product capabilities, specifications, part numbers and application guidelines to provide the right customer solutions and to field general questions.
  • Follow up and qualify leads from General Plastics’ website, hotlines, tradeshows, and other marketing promotions in an effective and timely manner
  • Perform complete reviews of customer order documentation, terms and conditions, and other associated contractual requirements in order to assure order accuracy and timeliness.
  • Respond to customer inquiries for sample kits, order status, production timelines, and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with business development team on new product or application opportunities.
  • Review client contracts and requests to ensure conformance with company policies and lead times
  • Provide customer quotes and regular pricing updates.

Requirements

 EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND SPECIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of sales or customer service experience 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, technical procedures, and governmental regulations as needed 
  • Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel 
  • Attention to detail and experience with project management 
  • Familiarity using both CRM and MRP software  
  • Aerospace experience preferred
  • BA/BS Degree in Sales or Engineering (or similar relevant field) preferred

· Compensation range is $50-80k annually, depending on experience
