Senior Data Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for pipeline development and data analysis.
- Experience with Snowflake or other modern data warehouses.
- Expertise in workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Knowledge of data transformation tools such as dbt.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and software design principles.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS.
- Familiarity with Kafka or similar event-driven architectures.
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code with tools like Terraform.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement streaming data solutions using Confluent Kafka.
- Lead the development and maintenance of scalable batch and streaming data pipelines with Airflow, Python, and Kafka.
- Drive the architectural roadmap and technical direction of the data platform.
- Develop modular, production-grade dbt models to support analytics and data science.
- Manage cloud infrastructure deployments using Terraform on AWS.
- Establish and improve data quality, validation, monitoring, and automated alerting systems.
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership within the data and engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Analytics, and Engineering teams on impactful data initiatives.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
