Senior Quality Analyst

The Flooid Senior Quality Analyst collaborates with both technical and business team members across multiple projects, contributes to the creation of test plans, executes and reports on tests, and provides key expertise to the team on quality best practices.  The role requires thinking “outside of the box” to understand the various scenarios and configurations that Flooid software can be deployed within real-world retail environments and to ensure customer quality is maintained.

You and the Role

This Flooid Senior Quality Analyst position has great flexibility and the opportunity to work on a global scale.  The primary duties of this role include:

  • Defining and owning test plans across assigned projects, including scope, risk focus, and quality objectives
  • Working collaboratively with Product Owners, Developers, BAs and other delivery stakeholders to align testing with evolving project needs
  • Coordinating the delivery of manual and automated test activities, supporting team execution and ensuring appropriate coverage
  • Leading defect triage sessions, prioritising issues, and working across teams to ensure root causes are addressed efficiently
  • Monitoring test progress and blockers, providing structured updates that support informed decision-making at project and programme level
  • Acting as a key QA contact during client UAT phases, supporting test evidence reviews, quality walkthroughs, and issue resolution
  • Delivering concise, relevant reporting to support release readiness, including test status summaries and risk indicators
  • Promoting high standards in quality thinking and helping embed continuous improvement across the wider team

Skills & Experience

As a Senior Quality Analyst at Flooid, you’ll be right at the heart of making sure our software delivers the quality our clients rely on. It’s a hands-on role, but also one where you’ll take the lead – shaping test approaches, guiding team members, and helping drive smarter ways of working. You’ll take ownership of planning, execution, and quality strategy across your projects, acting as a key point of contact for all things QA. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of the software development life cycle, specialising in the QA/QE contribution
  • Experience creating Test Plans, including scope definition, entry/exit criteria, and alignment with delivery teams
  • Skilled in leading the execution of manual and automated testing, ensuring test coverage is aligned to project requirements
  • Experience in managing the full defect lifecycle, including triage coordination, prioritisation, and root cause analysis
  • Understanding of retail hardware peripherals and maintenance thereof
  • Experience in the following areas:
    • Windows/Linux command line
    • SQL and non-SQL databases (IBM DB2, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB)
    • Data languages (XML, JSON, YAML, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the following:
    • Atlassian toolset (JIRA / Confluence / Xray)
    • CI pipeline tools (Jenkins)
    • Windows & Linux environments
    • Cloud deployments (primarily GCP)
    • Mobile iOS / Android Testing
  • Confident producing test reports and quality summaries to support go/no-go decisions
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve QA processes and tooling across projects
  • Natural inquisitiveness and the desire to work with different colleagues on a variety of initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with collaborators and stakeholders across the business
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills, with the confidence to ask questions when blocked
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities and tight timescales
  • Experience in a retail or hospitality environment desired
