The Strategy team defines how Flock evolves its solution portfolio to win in the market through product innovation, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions. Within this team, the Competitive Intelligence function provides Sales with the insights, tools, and guidance needed to compete effectively. From real-time deal support and strategic battlecards to objection handling and training, this team ensures our revenue organization is equipped to outmaneuver the competition.
We’re hiring a motivated, sales-oriented Competitive Intelligence Manager to serve as a key partner to our Sales team. As the go-to expert on the competitive landscape, you’ll transform market insights into actionable strategies that improve win rates and drive revenue. This is a unique opportunity to influence Flock’s growth by empowering our Sales force with the knowledge and resources to win.
In this role, you’ll lead competitive enablement by maintaining core tools, battlecards, playbooks, objection-handling guides, and delivering targeted training to strengthen selling skills. You’ll also act as the primary liaison to Sales leadership, providing regular updates, attending key meetings, and offering on-demand research and positioning for high-stakes deals.
You’ll partner closely with Product Marketing to ensure consistent, accurate messaging across all assets, while using sales feedback to refine strategy, align cross-functional teams, and support broader go-to-market goals. You’ll also collaborate with the Director of Market Intelligence as needed across these initiatives.
5+ years in enterprise Sales and/or competitive intelligence within a B2B SaaS or HaaS environment.
A strong understanding of sales processes and the unique challenges faced by sales professionals.
Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), with the ability to convey complex information concisely and persuasively.
Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and nurturing effective relationships across the Sales organization and other cross-functional teams.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Comfortability in utilizing sales tools and enablement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Seismic, Gong, Google Docs).
Experience analyzing competitor product features, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies.
Familiarity with the public safety technology market (e.g., LPR, video surveillance, physical security solutions) is highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in any field

The First 30 Days
Deliver a "Current State of CI" report, including a roadmap for asset & enablement development.
Provide direct support on at least three strategic (“Big Bets”) deals against key competitors
The First 60 Days
Audit and update existing battlecards and objection handling guides for at least two primary competitors
Develop and publish one new customer-facing competitive Sales asset and one new competitive battle card.
90 Days & Beyond
Assume full ownership of all Sales assets by auditing and updating all other existing battle cards.
Create the first bi-weekly/monthly “Competitive intelligence update” to be delivered via email and/or live on the weekly sales meetings.

In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $140,000 - $160,000 as well as stock options. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, as well as market indicators. Your recruiter will discuss this in-depth with you during our first chat.
