First Student is hiring an Area Safety Manager to oversee safety and compliance across multiple locations in the Pacific Northwest. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to travel up to 75% for on-site safety audits and coaching.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include conducting safety reviews, leading incident investigations, and tracking safety performance trends while supporting Location Safety Managers and compliance with regulations.
Skills: Candidates should possess strong leadership and decision-making skills, be tech-savvy, and have experience in collision investigation and training.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in safety or transportation, with a strong background in fleet management and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include Smith System Instructor Certification.
Location: This position is based in Olympia, Washington, with travel required across WA, AK, ID, and MT.
Compensation: $90000 - $110000 / Annually
