Commercial Director - North America

About Eyebot

Eyebot is an outcome-focused technology company on a mission to make vision care accessible to everyone, equally. Headquartered in Boston’s North End and backed by top investors and the National Science Foundation, our 90-second vision test kiosk is reshaping how vision care is delivered.

If you’re passionate about solving big problems and building the future of vision care, we’d love to hear from you.

Role Overview

The Commercial Director – North America will be responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining strong customer relationships with key accounts and prospects. This senior role is ideal for a seasoned sales and account management professional with a proven track record in early-stage technology companies. You will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, drive revenue growth, and represent Eyebot at the executive level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with new and existing customers across North America.

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities to achieve sales targets and expand Eyebot’s market presence.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Engage with executive stakeholders at client organizations to understand their strategic objectives and align Eyebot’s solutions accordingly.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, engineering, marketing) to deliver tailored solutions and ensure seamless project delivery.

  • Manage complex sales cycles, including contract negotiations and project implementation.

  • Handle the post-sales cycle account management (signature to dev work to implementation)

  • Provide market feedback to inform product development and strategic planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably with early-stage technology companies.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and close deals with enterprise and mid-market retail and technology customers.

  • Experience managing complex projects and coordinating cross-functional teams.

  • Proven executive engagement skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at the C-suite level.

  • Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Optical industry experience is a plus, but not required.

  • Self-starter with a passion for innovation and a track record of exceeding targets.

  • Willingness to travel as needed within North America.

  • Bonus

    • Experience in regulated, clinical, or health and wellness environments

    • Familiarity with kiosks, IoT, or embedded hardware systems

    What We Offer:

    • Competitive salary and performance-based compensation along with meaningful equity

    • Flexible work schedule with unlimited PTO

    • A culture where every idea is welcome, no matter how out there it sounds — that’s how Eyebot got started

    • Full health, dental, and vision insurance

    • Commuter support and wellness benefits

    • A collaborative office environment in Boston’s North End, with regular team lunches and a great waterfront location

    • The chance to build products that improve lives and redefine how vision care is delivered
