Peer Coordinator - Everett NAN Project

Eliot is a mission-driven nonprofit focused on resilience, empowerment, and mental health awareness. They are seeking a Peer Coordinator for their NAN Project to support, recruit, and train peer mentors and engage with youth in schools to promote mental health education and suicide prevention.

Skills

  • Experience working with transition age youth
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Ability to coordinate and manage peer mentor activities
  • Mental health awareness and suicide prevention knowledge
  • Engagement and community outreach skills

Responsibilities

  • Engage with schools and youth organizations to promote The NAN Project’s mission
  • Recruit, train, and support peer mentors, encouraging sharing of lived mental health experience
  • Reduce mental health stigma and educate students on challenges and recovery
  • Collaborate with peer mentors to deliver mental health lessons in classrooms
  • Provide feedback and facilitate training and team-building for peer mentors
  • Prepare content and materials for workshops, trainings, and presentations

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
