GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies to drive brand awareness, increase online visibility, and retain customers. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create and optimize social media campaigns across various channels.


The Social Media Specialist is responsible for executing organic and paid social media campaigns for the brand and local stores. The ideal candidate will create customer-focused campaigns aimed at engaging, nurturing, and upgrading our existing customer base. They will analyze results and offer strategic recommendations and solutions for social improvement. 

Requirements

  • Own both organic and paid social media, including content scheduling/posting, and guest response.
  • Working with the Director of Digital Marketing to support the brand marketing strategy and set social growth goals.
  • Grow the engagement and audiences for the brand on each social platform and create content specific to each.
  • Gain a strong understanding of Costa Vida’s guests and produce content for them.
  • Keep a pulse on emerging social media trends and platforms and are ready to maximize the opportunity Costa Vida has with them.
  • Support franchise partners with local social media strategy and execution.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

WORKING REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Marketing or marketing support positions
  • Experience with developing and executing social media campaigns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Can communicate and collaborate effectively with customers and employees.
  • Organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • High sense of urgency; self-motivator.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during meetings and presentations.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office equipment for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally required to lift or carry marketing materials and supplies (up to 25 lbs).
  • Ability to travel locally for events and meetings, if necessary.
