Ortho Unit Overview:
The Ortho Unit at OrthoColorado Hospital has 42 beds that are med/surg/tele. We also have six beds that are considered Progressive Care (PCU). Our volume is typically low on the weekends and holidays, averaging two to six patients. During the week our volume is between 24-30 patients.
We specialize in orthopedic surgery concentrating on joint replacement and spine surgeries. We do not get overflow from other areas. We are exclusively an elective orthopedic surgery hospital. We do not have an Emergency Department and do not accept direct admits currently.

OrthoColorado Hospital is Colorado's only orthopedic specialty hospital and is designed specifically for the orthopedic patient. Located on the St. Anthony Medical Campus, OrthoColorado Hospital is a joint venture between physician investors and CommonSpirit Mountain Region. Our state-of-the-art facility features a 48-bed inpatient unit, including six intermediate care beds and eight operating rooms. All members of our team from pre-operative care through recovery and our in-patient nurses are specialty trained in orthopedics. Our surgeons are renowned for their talent, knowledge and experience in their orthopedic specialties and sub-specialties.
