Additional Compensation Details:

• Salary Information Dependent on Experience and Location of Role

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  :

• Product Procurement: Source fresh, high-quality produce from trusted growers and vendors.
• Cultivate Partnerships: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Market Expertise: Analyze market trends and pricing to make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
• Strategic Planning: Monitor and manage inventory levels to meet operational goals.
• Quality Assurance & Cost Management: Ensure product quality, availability, and costing aligns with customer contracts and company standards.
• Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, operations, and transportation teams to ensure customer needs are met.

Peripheral Duties: Other tasks and special projects as assigned by the Procurement Manager.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of five (5) years in buying, procurement, or supply chain management (produce/perishable food industry preferred).
• Proficient in forecasting, cost analysis, and contract management.
• In-depth knowledge of commodities, specifically in vegetable, fruit, herbs, and grocery product lines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to negotiate, present, and collaborate effectively with both internal and external partners.
• Customer service-driven mindset with a professional and solutions-oriented approach to resolving issues and concerns.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing business environment, making informed decisions to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
