Advocates with school administration for student concerns and generate activities or programs that enhance student experience on campus
Primary Responsibilities
- Helps supervise the work of volunteers to lead in service programs.
- Participates in and supports leadership development initiatives for students
- Participates in council to review and set area policies/procedures and direction for service projects.
- Files and maintains all progressive paper work for a project from inception to completion.
- Prepares and distributes surveys for assessments to measure overall programming effectiveness.
- Attends 1-1 weekly stewardship meetings with SC Student Supervisor.
- Commits to scheduled office hours to be of service to others and to ensure responsibilities are fulfilled as expected.
- Establishes and maintains relationships of trust with the SC Council.
- Supports the SC Student Supervisor in his/her duties and completes delegated assignments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in an office setting with a high level of organization capabilities.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office specifically Word (or other word processing software), Excel, and Power Point.
- Experience in customer service skills
- Leadership experience, specifically in overseeing the work of others.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively on a team.
- Experience with multi-tasking and time management.
- Experience in project management, proposals, data assessments, and evaluations.
- Demonstrates leadership attributes of: integrity, ability to manage people (volunteers, employees, etc), excellent organizational skills, network of relationships on campus, and understanding of the University’s functions.
