Overview:

Bumble is looking for a commercial FP&A Manager to drive growth, support decision-making and provide planning leadership to our Engineering function. Partnering with Engineering leaders, this hands-on role will support financial planning and investment analysis, navigating between the fine operational details and the bigger picture of Bumble’s ambitions. Reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager, this role will play an important part in increasing commerciality across the organization, rolling out best-in-class analysis, reporting and planning practices, and strengthening relationships between Finance and Engineering teams.

• Provide thought leadership to Engineering leaders through all planning processes including budget, periodic forecasts and strategic planning. Importantly, drive cultural change to embed long-term planning, operational planning and storyboarding
• Support the Engineering leaders in developing and communicating Engineering roadmaps to the business. Including planning and tracking the resource requirements and impact of changes on subsequent business areas.
• Provide visibility of financials across Engineering and ensure that changing business demands are planned, challenged and supported
• Develop a deep understanding of variances in actual performance versus plans and influence across departments to maximize business outcomes. In particular, facilitate data-driven decision making by ensuring key decision makers access appropriate operational and financial analysis to identify opportunities and measure performance
• Manage Risk and Opps related to Engineering spend throughout the quarter to ensure appropriate anticipation of quarter end results
• Partner with Financial accounting and Engineering teams to improve salary capitalization forecast and reporting
• Own the capex approval and forecast process

• 6+ years of FP&A experience
• Experience supporting Technology / Engineering functions - preferably within established International Brands in the consumer or tech space
• Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, including annual budget, periodic forecast and business reviews
• Strong working knowledge of accounting, controlling and finance operations
• Strong financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate commercial plans and activities into relevant financial models and analyses
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust at senior level and act as a change agent across teams
• Experience driving process change with non-finance stakeholders and continually striving for best in class processes 
• Desire to understand the details of the Business and help bring Bumble’s ambitious plans to life.
