Senior Administrative/Clerical Specialist

Overview

Amyx is seeking a Senior Administrative/Clerical Specialist to provide on-site support at the Department of Energy (DOE) Headquarters in Washington, DC, under the MESC Business Operations Support Services (BOSS) contract. This position plays a critical role in supporting business operations, coordinating tasks across stakeholders, and assisting in project execution under management direction.

Responsibilities

The Senior Administrative/Clerical Specialist will support daily operations for the DOE MESC BOSS program by managing calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing and editing documents, tracking task priorities, and assisting with project execution under management guidance.  This role serves as a point of contact for staff and stakeholders, maintains digital workspaces, supports budget and task tracking, and ensures timely and high-quality administrative deliverables.

Technology used:

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other DOE-supported collaboration tools.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; minimum of 8 years of relevant administrative or clerical experience; strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency in office software and collaboration platforms; ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment; U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.
• Must be able to work on-site at DOE HQ in Washington, DC five days per week.
• Must have the ability to communicate accurate information

Desired:

• Experience supporting DOE or federal government contracts, familiarity with federal administrative processes, and background in project coordination or budget tracking.
