How will you make an impact in this role?

Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the global leader in providing payments solutions for Small, Medium, and Large Enterprises. We are in the business of helping our clients get business done! Accelerating sales and driving profitable charge volume growth are critical for the success of the organization. The Sales Enablement team is instrumental in driving these objectives.

The Sr. Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the development of growth and data-driven strategies to improve portfolio performance and drive execution. This position will support the development and implementation of analytical solutions, to provide consultative support to the GCS leadership team. The incumbent will also highlight trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance business decision-making processes, while working very closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to drive growth in the sales organization. 

  • Data Science Projects: Design, develop, and implement predictive and explanatory analyses that address critical business problems, leveraging expertise in machine learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and other areas. Strengthen forecasting, refine incentive plan designs, and identify gaming behaviors. 
  • Drive Analytics: Create world class analytics and add valuable insights to inform strategy. Develop actionable insights into Sales and client behavior, and introduce new approaches to transform complex behavioral data, and influence decision-making and strategic direction across the organization.
  • Develop Modeling Capabilities: Hands-on experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Transformers, etc., focusing on scalability, performance, and interpretability.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Apply analytical thinking to diagnose business needs and to establish analytical hypothesis and solutions; Have outstanding knowledge of Hive, SQL, and Python encompassing data manipulation and statistical modeling/data-mining techniques; Leverage predictive modeling to identify tactics for channel optimization of existing areas and conceptualize opportunities.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Establish and maintain close relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders to understand business strategies, develop goals, and address opportunities.
  • Develop Scalable Solutions: Architect and deploy robust, efficient, and scalable data pipelines and modeling solutions using cloud-based technologies and programming languages like Python, Spark, etc.
  • Define Performance Indicators: Lead analytics and measurement across key performance indicators. Own key stakeholder and executive level communications on progress of committed initiatives, including provision of automated monthly measurement focusing on specific strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate Insights Effectively: Present findings, recommendations, and results effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership, via clear reports, visualizations, and presentations, to enable data-driven decision making.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a quantitative field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking acumen
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., Tensorflow, PyTorch, NLTK, scikit-learn) and experience applying algorithms to real-world business problems.
  • High proficiency in Python/SQL
  • High proficiency in analytical and statistical tools (e.g., Hive, PySpark, scikit-learn etc.) is required.
  • Experience in Big Data environment, inclusive of data mining techniques and data processing. Ability to address performance issues and to manipulate both structured and unstructured data
  • Demonstrable experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. matplotlib, seaborn, PowerBI)
  • Proficiency with industry recognized ETL methods, processes and standards
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel pivot, macros, deck-writing)
  • Proven track record of developing analytical solutions optimizing business processes
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and partner with multiple collaborators, with superb interpersonal skills
  • Ability to deliver results, work independently, and prioritize tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience with NLP
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Salesforce, or statistical software programs
  • Experience with Hadoop and Spark is a plus

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
