RV/Specialty Desk Estimator

Job Description

Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for 1st and 3rd party material damage claims leading to the proper disposition. This role is utilized as a peer mentor having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.

National General, an Allstate company is seeking an expert in estimating damages for RVs, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience writing estimates on RVs from photos which requires advanced knowledge and experience. Licensing is not required but beneficial, and candidates should be familiar with CCC, Duncan (RV), and AdjustRite (Commercial) software. 

Key Responsibilities

• Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training

• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files including RV, commercial vehicles, motorsports products and farm equipment, must have claims or technician experience with one of the noted lines prior.

• Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices

• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers

• Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is $68,000 - $84,000 and is based on experience and qualifications.  Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
